In honour of her Golden Globe best supporting actress nomination for her role in Hustlers, a dedicated fan of Jennifer Lopez managed to convince JetBlue to pay tribute to the actress and singer.

Joseph Longo persuaded the crew to make an announcement requesting passengers to watch Hustlers on the plane's in-flight entertainment system during a flight from New York to Los Angeles. Hustlers follows a group of strippers who turn to ethically dubious tactics to swindle money out of their targets when the recession hits. It stars Constance Wu as inexperienced stripper Destiny, and J.Lo as Ramona, one of the club’s most popular dancers who takes her under her wing.

Longo tweeted that he was going to ensure that everyone on his flight watched the movie in honour of the nomination, and a JetBlue pilot read his plea. As a result a crew member made the announcement urging passengers to watch Hustlers. “The friendly skies supports our Fly Girl!” Longo tweeted.

The mid-air wave of support reached J.Lo herself, who deemed it "amazing " and told Longo that he could be her back-up dancer "any day." JetBlue then offered to fly Longo to Los Angeles in the carrier’s premium cabin if Lopez “can get him in” to the award ceremony. If she manages it, this story will surely turn into the plot of a feelgood movie all by itself.
