These are the best places to travel this summer

If you’re looking for a perfect way to celebrate the beginning of Spring, why not book a half-price holiday in Italy?

The B&B Day initiative is coming back to the Bel Paese on Saturday 7 March, when a large number of the country’s bed & breakfast structures will offer guests the chance of booking a night and getting another one for free.

The initiative is quite straightforward – if guests book the night of 7 March, they can also choose either the Friday before or the Sunday after and have that night for free, essentially getting a huge discount on a short weekend holiday.

B&B Day has been happening since 2017 and it’s meant to “celebrate the proven hospitality made of warmth, familiarity, relaxation and sustainability shared both by the bed & breakfast owners and their guests,” as it reads on the initiative’s official website.

Several structures throughout Italy participate in the initiative, from ones located in the countryside to ones that are right in the middle of major cities, like Rome’s famous Trastevere neighbourhood. To select the place that best suits your style of holiday you can use the filter on the initiative’s website, and choose between structures that are either in the North or South of Italy; are more adventurous or more relaxing; allow you to bring your pet with you.
