This Black Friday score a return flight from London to LA for £1 (plus taxes)

Weeks after it revealed that it is ending its iconic Los Angeles to London route, Air New Zealand has announced that 100 return fares will be available on this route for a bargain price on Black Friday.

The fares will be available for £1 (NZ$2) plus taxes, which amounts to £178 (NZ$355). The deal is set to go live at 10am GMT on Friday 29 November and will run until 3 December, unless sold out beforehand. The airline said that it will also offer other great fares on the route over Black Friday weekend and throughout the year.

The New Zealand flag carrier began its daily route linking London with Auckland via Los Angeles 40 years ago,but recently revealed that less than 7% of all travellers chose to fly via Los Angeles last year. This decision will bring about the disestablishment of its London cabin crew base, Hammersmith sales office and ground team.

Air New Zealand recently revealed that its final London flight will depart on 28 October 2020. For those hoping for a bargain, tickets for the Black Friday sale will be available on Air New Zealand's website from 29 November.
