Castlemaine Botanical Gardens

These majestic gardens, among the oldest in Victoria (established 1860), strike a perfect balance between sculpture and wild bush, with lovely National Trust–registered trees and the artificial Lake Joanna. The 1.7km trail is a popular spot for a brisk walk or jog in the morning.
