Purple Hen Winery

Head to the cellar door of this scenic winery to try its signature pinot noir and perhaps purchase a bottle or two of the big-bodied The Rooster for cellaring. Tastings cost $5 for six wines, $10 for 13; the fee is waived on purchase. Views over Western Port Bay make it a lovely spot for a picnic, and supplies including olives, dips and cheese platters are available ($3-25).
